Dan grew up as a child of Salvation Army Ministers (Officers). Watching his family show up for people in hard moments shaped how he thinks about his own work today.

Before financial planning, he spent years as a travel agent and still helps select clients with their travel plans. He's noticed the two fields aren't as different as they seem: both involve helping people get somewhere they care about, whether that's a dream vacation or realizing a financial dream.

His path into financial services ran through the nonprofit sector, where he spent several years in development, finance, and research. That background still shows in how he works with clients — listening first, then building plans around what actually matters to a family or business.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science from Salem State University and has completed advanced coursework in financial planning, estate planning, investing, and insurance through The American College. His practice covers business succession, estate planning, retirement planning, employee benefits, long-term care, and distribution planning. He works with individuals, families, and business owners — and, drawing on his own upbringing, has built particular expertise serving Salvation Army officers and employees.

Dan is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) and also holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and LUTCF designations from The American College, is Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC) through the Corporation for Long-Term Care, and is a Certified Gift Planning Associate (CGPA) through Crescendo Interactive's Gift College. He's also a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) with the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA). He is licensed for life and health insurance in Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, and Ohio.

He's an active member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, the Planned Giving Council of Upstate New York, and the American Cancer Society's National Professional Advisors Network.

When he is not helping clients, he enjoys soccer, reading, traveling, and time with his family. Dan lives in the Rochester, NY area and has four children and one grandchild.
